iPhone

After obsessing over its potential and drooling over the technical press reports on it, I have finally succumbed and swapped my blackberry for an iPhone.
Yes, in true fanboy fashion I have decided that my digital armament of choice should bear the shiny apple logo, so I have added my new iPhone to the 1TB time capsule I bought in duty free on my way back from Bulgaria.
So far I have found the experience to be quite good. Setup was straight forward if lengthy, though the time taken was mainly down to the lack of speed in my aging 12" G4 PowerBook. Once the 250MB software update had downloaded and installed and my burgeoning iTunes library had synchronised with it (which I left to finish overnight), I was ready to go.
In use the iPhone is great. The interface is foolproof (mostly), consistent (mostly), and allows you to do what you want to achieve (mostly).
I’m impressed with the on-screen keyboard, it has taken less time to adapt to than I thought and the auto-correct feature is almost prescient. Still, there are faults. A lack of copy/cut/paste is a pain and I hope the battery life improves with use, but so far I am very happy.
